Who is Lena Mars the Artist!
My family is filled with very talented artists. They are photographers, singers, painters and create beautiful artwork. I am a singer who has always loved design and furniture. I got that passion from my “Pepere” which is grandfather in French where I was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
In 2015, after buying a very expensive shabby chic dining room set, I sat back and looked at it closely and thought to myself; “SELF” you can do that! Thus my journey learning the do’s and don’ts of furniture updo’s & artistry started. I made a lot of mistakes, but I am the kind of person that will keep working on a piece until I am happy & proud. I work via commissions and I have recreated many pieces of furniture for quite a few clients. I also find gems here and there and bring some breath, love and life back into them!
Discovering my wood cutting laser machine has been a game changer. I am creating beautiful memorial pieces for you, friends and family. Please check out my portfolio for my art work. My goal is to retire doing what I love! Being an artist is exciting as you watch each piece of art come to life. I usually meditate on a piece before I start, so it can speak to me. Crazy but true!
